Inspection & Fingerprinting Services

The Carbondale Police Department offers the following services:

• VIN Inspections – Required for out-of-state vehicle titles (No salvage titles). Fee: $20.00
• ATV & UTV Inspections – Required to obtain a city vehicle license. Fee: $25.00
• Fingerprinting Services – Available for general fingerprinting needs and pre-employment checks. Fee: $10.00

Payment Information:
All payments must be made to the City Office before the inspection or fingerprinting service can be performed. You can reach them at 785-836-7108.

Scheduling an Appointment:
To schedule an inspection or fingerprinting appointment, please call 785-836-7377 between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. While appointments can be scheduled for later in the day or on weekends, all scheduling must be completed during these hours.

We encourage residents to call ahead with any questions and to schedule their appointment before making their payment at the City Office.
