Carbondale Community Connection – August 2025
Hello Carbondale neighbors,
August is a busy month in Carbondale! Between school supply drives, city meetings, and back-to-school excitement, we want to make sure you have all the latest updates right at your fingertips.
Please note: The Forestry Dump will be closed on August 9 but will remain open all other regularly scheduled days.
Cram the Cruiser – This Friday
Friday, August 8 | 5:00 – 7:00 PM | Carbondale City Library
Join us for an evening of giving and fun! We’re collecting school supplies for SFT students with help from the Overbrook Kansas Police Department. There will be food trucks (Flint Hills Catering and Poppin' Squeeze), music, and photo opportunities with local police vehicles. Help us send students into the school year with the tools they need to succeed.
Fill the Backpack for Free
Saturday, August 9 | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (or while supplies last) | Carbondale City Library
