WATER LINE BREAK - PLEASE LIMIT WATER USAGE
7/10/2025
Dear Carbondale Residents,
We want to make you aware that the City is responding to a water line break near 75 Highway which is currently causing dangerously low water levels in our water tower.
???? We are asking everyone to limit water use immediately and only use what is absolutely necessary until further notice.
Please note: The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has NOT issued a boil water advisory at this time. If that changes, we will notify you right away. We are in direct contact with KDHE and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
✅ What you can do to help tonight:
-
Postpone doing laundry and running dishwashers.
-
Take shorter showers or delay bathing if possible.
-
Turn off faucets while brushing teeth or shaving.
-
Check for dripping faucets and fix leaks if you can.
-
Use bottled water for drinking if you have it on hand.
This break is not related to any recent work by utility boring services or local crews. The location has been identified and crews are working to fix the break as quickly as possible.
We know this is unsettling and inconvenient — thank you for your patience and understanding. We will continue to share accurate updates as they become available.
