Boil Water Advisory - Update

UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory & Road Closures
The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect — please continue to boil water for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth.
Bring water to a rolling boil and boil for 1 minute then allow to cool completely before use.
Boring crews are enroute to assist Public Works in repairing the water line break.
Topeka Avenue is closed from Main Street to Market Street.
Lane closures remain in place from Main & Topeka Avenue to Prost Rd.
The southbound on-ramp to 75 Highway is closed, and the off-ramp from northbound 75 Highway is also closed.
Carbondale Fire Department and City Crews are stationed near these closures to divert traffic — please drive carefully in these areas.
There is no ETA yet for reopening these access points.
Casey’s is still accessible from the Main Street entrance, and you can still enter the city from the southbound 75 Highway off-ramp.
Crews will be working to open access to the grocery store.
